No Deposit Casino Bonuses in Canada

Most “$200 no-deposit + 200 free spins!” you see for Canada is offshore or against the rules. In regulated Canada, genuine no-deposit offers are rare by design — and of the 68 casinos we track, only 2 run one that's confirmed for Ontario players. So instead of a fake code list, we flag every offer by what you can actually claim.

Why it's rare
The AGCO bans the ads
Standard 2.05 forbids advertising bonuses to the public, so no-deposit offers can't be marketed — and barely exist.
A “code” is the tell
A public “exclusive Ontario no-deposit code” is almost always an offshore or non-compliant site. The few real offers apply on the casino's own site.

The reason

Why No-Deposit Bonuses Are Rare in Regulated Canada

It's not that operators are stingy — it's the law plus the math. Three things explain why the giant free-money offers you see elsewhere don't exist here.

The AGCO bans the advertising

Standard 2.05 prohibits advertising bonuses and credits to the public. A no-deposit offer can only appear on the operator's own site or to opted-in players — so it gets no discovery, which kills its marketing value and the incentive to run one.

It's the most abuse-prone format

Free money with no deposit attracts bonus-abuse, so in a KYC- and geolocation-supervised market operators overwhelmingly prefer deposit-gated offers. The AGCO also polices "free" claims and has fined deceptive bonus terms.

On their own site, it's allowed

Operators can still show offers on their own platform — OLG, for instance, advertises a casino bonus right on olg.ca. What's banned is pushing it to the public off-site, and there are no legitimate third-party no-deposit codes.

What's really claimable

Every No-Deposit Offer We Found — Flagged by Real Ontario Availability

This is the list no competitor publishes honestly. We checked each offer against the operator's own Ontario site and grouped them by what you can actually claim as an Ontario player.

BetMGM Casino
Confirmed · half no-deposit

CA$100 'on the house' is credited free after you register — but the winnings aren't withdrawable until you deposit and clear 10× wagering. Real, Ontario-confirmed, but only half a no-deposit offer.

Caesars Palace Online Casino
Confirmed · Ontario site

The one genuinely clean Ontario no-deposit: $20 in bonus funds on select slots, just 1× wagering, code WELCOMEON20, 7-day window — and no win cap on the operator's own terms (affiliates that quote a cap are misreading it).

Offshore version only

AGCO-licensed operator, but the '3 free chances on Mega Money Wheel' offer circulates on its offshore site — not confirmable on the Ontario product, and reportedly may even need a C$1 deposit.

Stardust Casino
US-only (NJ / PA)

The $25 / Starburst spins are a US offer worth about $2.50 in spin value. Stardust is licensed in Ontario, but its Ontario site advertises no no-deposit bonus.

Offshore (.com) · geo-blocked

The 20-free-spins offer lives on the Curaçao .com site, geo-blocked from Ontario. The licensed Ontario product carries no such no-deposit offer.

Not for Ontario

The C$25 / FIRST888 package runs in the rest of Canada and is explicitly not available to Ontario players. Anyone tagging it as an Ontario deal is mixing up markets.

Not a no-deposit offer

The widely-repeated '$25 on registration' figure isn't confirmable and is deposit-triggered. FanDuel's only genuine no-deposit element is a daily free-spin 'Reward Machine' for small credits.

Birthday / loyalty only

No signup no-deposit. A personalized birthday bonus (7-day) and loyalty-point redemptions are real on the Ontario site — but they're for existing players and sit behind login.

No standing offer

No permanent no-deposit bonus. A rotating 70-free-spin promo is sometimes cited but is unverified for Ontario.

The catch

What a No-Deposit Bonus Is Really Worth

A free $20 isn't $20 in your pocket. Four pieces of fine print decide whether a no-deposit offer is worth claiming — and one of them can make it mathematically worthless.

The worked example: 200× is a wall

Casino Classic credits 3 free chances on a wheel — but winnings carry 200× wagering. Turn a $5 win into withdrawable cash and you'd have to wager $1,000 first, inside 7 days. Compare Caesars' $20 at : wager $20 once and it's yours. Same “free” label, wildly different reality.

Caesars $20 · 1× = wager $20Casino Classic · 200× = wager ~$1,000
The four caps that gut the value
  • Wagering × — 1× is a gift, 30–40× is normal, 200× is a wall.
  • What it applies to — winnings-only vs the whole balance.
  • Max-cashout cap — you might only keep C$100 no matter how you run.
  • Validity — usually just 7 days, forcing rushed play.
The formats

The 5 Types of No-Deposit Offer

"No deposit" covers a few different things — here's what each one really gives you.

Free cash / bonus credit

A small fixed amount (usually C$5–C$30; anything bigger is almost always offshore) credited at signup. Caesars' $20 is the Canadian example.

Free spins

A set number of spins on one named slot, each worth a few cents. Winnings convert to bonus funds that carry wagering — and usually a win cap.

Free chips / chances

A handful of plays on a wheel or table (Casino Classic's '3 chances'). Sky-high wagering can make them worth roughly nothing.

On-the-house credit

Operator marketing for bonus credit (BetMGM's $100). Often bundled with a deposit offer and not withdrawable until you deposit.

Birthday / loyalty

Personalized no-deposit credit for existing players (JackpotCity). Not a signup offer — you earn it by playing first.

Read the search

"Newest No Deposit" — Usually a Fresh Offer, Not a New Casino

If you searched for the newest no-deposit casino, here's the honest read on what you'll find.

Most people typing “newest casino no deposit” want the latest no-deposit-style offer, not a brand-new operator — and in regulated Canada those offers refresh quietly on the casino's own site, with no public codes. New AGCO casinos also almost always launch with a deposit match, not a no-deposit bonus. If it's genuinely new casinos you're after, that's a different list.

The code trap

No-Deposit Codes & the Ontario Trap

Searching for a code? Here's the honest answer before you hand your details to the wrong site.

What's almost always fake
  • An “exclusive Ontario no-deposit code” on a review or affiliate site — advertising one breaches Standard 2.05.
  • A “bet365 / FanDuel no-deposit code” — those brands run no such public code in Ontario.
  • “$100+ free, no deposit” for a Canadian brand — that's an offshore or US offer.
What's real
  • Offers applied on the operator's own site when you register (Caesars' WELCOMEON20 is internal, not advertised).
  • Direct offers after you opt in on the Ontario site.

The ban has teeth: the AGCO fined BetMGM C$110,000 for a “$100 cash to start” inducement campaign, and Casino Days C$54,000 for a deceptive bonus. See the full enforcement record in the bonus hub.

Quick check

How to Spot a Fake No-Deposit Offer

Before you sign up anywhere for a no-deposit deal, run it past this list.

It's on a third-party site with an "exclusive code" for an Ontario brand — offshore or non-compliant.
The offer isn't on the operator's own .ca / Ontario site after you log in.
Wagering is 50×+ (or 200× like Casino Classic) — the win is mathematically out of reach.
A low max-cashout cap means you keep little no matter how well you run.
It's called "free" but you must risk your own money, or "risk-free" but you can lose.
The amount looks too big ($100+ no deposit) for a regulated Canadian casino.
