What we cover, and what we leave out
The line is simple: a casino must be authorized to accept legal play in Canada to appear here. In practice that means operators registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and operating under an agreement with iGaming Ontario, plus private Alberta sites with both AGLC registration and live AiGC status. An AGLC registration alone is pipeline context, not proof that a site is open for play. Government-operated sites are tracked separately where there is no private market to compare: PlayNow in British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, lotoquebec.com in Quebec, and ALC.ca across the four Atlantic provinces. ALC.ca offers regular casino games in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Its Live Casino covers Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.
We don’t list offshore or “Curaçao-licensed” casinos. They accept Canadians, but they answer to a foreign regulator, so Canadian provincial complaint and enforcement routes do not apply. They are excluded from every comparison on the site.
What each review covers
Each profile keeps market status, independent ratings, games, banking, bonus terms and regulatory history separate. A strong composite does not replace provincial authorization, and an operator-level action is not copied onto an unrelated sister brand. Missing and disputed figures remain labelled, and money figures are shown in CAD. Profile dates and rating dates remain separate when they were updated on different cycles.
How we’re funded
