A casino review site focused on regulated Canadian markets

Most “best online casino” lists for Canada are padded with offshore brands that can’t legally market here. We do the opposite: we only cover sites a Canadian can use under a real licence, and we score them on evidence you can check.

Publisher and editor

Newest Casinos Canada is independently owned and published by Alex Sawele. Alex is also the named author and editor for the casino reviews. Questions, corrections and privacy requests can be sent to sup@newestcasinoscanada.com.

What we cover, and what we leave out

The line is simple: a casino must be authorized to accept legal play in Canada to appear here. In practice that means operators registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and operating under an agreement with iGaming Ontario, plus Alberta sites in the AiGC Registered iGaming Sites directory. An AGLC registration alone is pipeline context, not proof that a site is open for play. Government-operated sites are tracked separately where there is no private market to compare: PlayNow in British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Espacejeux in Quebec, and ALC.ca across the four Atlantic provinces. ALC’s casino catalogue is province-specific, so not every game category is available in all four.

We don’t list offshore or “Curaçao-licensed” casinos. They accept Canadians, but they answer to a foreign regulator, so if a withdrawal stalls or a bonus term turns out to be a trap, there’s no Canadian body to take it up with. Leaving them out makes our lists shorter than the padded ones. We think that’s the point.

Evidence we track

Each profile keeps different evidence layers separate. Regulator records establish legality and enforcement history. Operator terms and cashier material support product, banking and bonus facts. Casino Guru, AskGamblers, Trustpilot and app-store ratings provide external signals, not licensing proof. Missing, disputed and third-party figures stay labelled. Money figures are in CAD. We refresh the data on a regular cycle and pick up the pace around major market changes.

How we’re funded

The “Visit” links go straight to the operator with no affiliate tag and no tracking. Scores and placements follow the published method: a casino can’t pay to soften a review or move up a list. The full breakdown is on the affiliate disclosure page, and the scoring method is laid out in how we rate.

What we are not

We are not a casino. You can’t bet, deposit, or open an account here. Casino content is for adults of legal gambling age (19+ in Ontario, 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Gambling carries risk. If it stops being fun, ConnexOntario is free and confidential at 1-866-531-2600, and Ontario players can self-exclude across every licensed operator at once through iGaming Ontario’s BetGuard.
