Best Mobile Casinos & Apps in Canada

Here's the part most “mobile casino” lists skip: a mobile casino is usually just the website on a small screen — no download, full game library. A real app is a separate thing, and who has one depends on your phone. We checked all 68 licensed casinos: 53 have an iPhone app, 46 are on Google Play, and 12 are browser-only — with the real store links, verified ratings, and who actually builds each app.

How you actually install one
  • iPhone & iPad
One tap from the Apple App Store — nearly every licensed casino has an iOS app.
  • Android
Most are on Google Play; some hand you an APK to install from their own site.
  • Any phone
Or skip the download entirely — open the casino in your browser and play.

First, the honest part

A “Mobile Casino” and a Casino App Aren't the Same Thing

Three things get lumped together as 'mobile.' Knowing the difference saves you a pointless download — and tells you what you're actually getting.

No download

Mobile website

The regular casino in your phone browser, resized to fit. Nothing to install, always the latest version, full game library. This is what most 'mobile casino' lists are actually ranking.

Download

Native app

A real app from the App Store or Google Play. Adds Face ID / fingerprint login, push notifications, a home-screen icon and slightly faster loads. The catch: it can gate a new feature behind an update.

No store

Add to Home Screen (PWA)

A halfway option: 'Add to Home Screen' from the browser gives you an app-like icon and (on newer phones) push, without an app store. It's still the website underneath.

Bottom line: you never need an app to play on your phone. The app is a convenience layer — worth it for the login speed and notifications, skippable if you'd rather not download anything.

A high rating rates the app, not the casino

Store ratings measure whether the app is smooth and stable — not whether the casino pays out fairly. Even 4-plus-star apps collect one-star reviews like “won $5,000, couldn't withdraw because of the bonus.” Read the ratings as a UX score, then check our full review for the terms that actually decide what you keep. The lowest-rated apps we track — FireVegas (1), Titan Play (1.57), Swiper (2.07), LeoVegas (2.5) and TonyBet (2.59) — are usually new apps with a handful of reviews, not necessarily bad casinos. Small sample sizes swing hard.

Different names, one app engine

Who Actually Builds These Apps

Tap into the App Store listing and you'll spot it: a lot of 'different' casinos are published by the same company, on the same engine. That means near-identical apps — and often a shared loyalty program you can carry between them.

Apollo Entertainment Ltd

5 apps

Publishes Golden Tiger, Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold Casino and Zodiac Casino. Same publisher, so expect the same app layout, login and cashier across all of them.

Skill On Net Ltd

3 apps

Publishes PlayOJO, SpinGenie and SlotsMagic. Same publisher, so expect the same app layout, login and cashier across all of them.

Cadtree Limited

2 apps

Publishes Spin Casino and Royal Vegas. Same publisher, so expect the same app layout, login and cashier across all of them.

Entain

2 apps

Publishes PartyCasino and Bwin. Same publisher, so expect the same app layout, login and cashier across all of them.

The biggest example is Apollo Entertainment, the studio behind the Casino Rewards group — its apps share one loyalty scheme and even a “Status Match” that carries your tier between them. Handy to know before you sign up at what looks like five separate casinos.

On iPhone & iPad

Casino Apps on iOS

The easy platform. 53 of the casinos we track have an Apple App Store app — tap the link in the table above and install like any other app.

Straight from the App Store

Apple allows real-money casino apps from licensed operators, geofenced to where they're legal. So a licensed Ontario casino can list on the App Store and you install it in one tap — no sideloading.

Face ID & Touch ID

Almost every iOS casino app supports biometric login. The face/fingerprint unlocks a credential stored in your phone's secure chip — it's never sent to the casino.

18+ badge, 19+ rule

Apple now rates real-money gambling apps 18+. That's a content label, not the legal age — in Ontario you must be 19, verified by the casino's ID check, not the App Store.

Want to pay with Apple Pay? A few Ontario casinos take it — see the payment methods guide for who, and how it compares to Interac.

On Android

Google Play, APKs & How to Install Safely

Android is the messier platform — and where most of the confusion (and bad advice) lives. Here's the real 2026 picture.

The truth about Google Play

The old line that “Google bans casino apps in Canada” is out of date. Google Play allows real-money casino apps from Ontario's licensed operators, and 46 of the casinos we track are listed there — BetMGM, PlayOJO, Luxury Casino and plenty more. (Outside Ontario, Google still only allows the provincial government's app.)

But getting listed is optional, and 5 operators skip it — they hand you an APK to install from their own website instead (Spin Casino, Royal Vegas and ComeOn! among them). That's legal and common; it just means you install it yourself.

Sideloading an APK safely
  1. 1Download the APK only from the casino's own official website — check the address bar. Never from a third-party 'APK mirror.'
  2. 2Your phone will ask to 'allow installs from this source.' Grant it only for your browser, just this once.
  3. 3Keep Google Play Protect switched on — it scans sideloaded apps at install too.
  4. 4If the file asks to disable security warnings or wants odd permissions, stop. A legit casino APK doesn't need that.

One thing coming: from 2027, Google starts requiring even sideloaded apps to come from a verified developer in Canada. For a licensed casino that's a non-event — they register once — but it's another reason to install only from the real operator. Paying with Google Pay? See the payment methods guide.

No app? No problem

The 12 Browser-Only Casinos

These licensed casinos don't have a native app at all — and that's genuinely fine. Their mobile sites run the full library in your browser. You lose Face ID login and push notifications; you keep every game.
