Our verdict

NorthStar Bets is one of the few Ontario-built online casinos, run from Toronto by the publicly listed NorthStar Gaming. Casino Guru currently rates it 7.3 (Above average), with fair terms, and it holds RG Check accreditation alongside a deep Playtech-powered library of around 2,500 games. The catches are real, though. The AGCO hit the operator with a C$30,000 penalty in 2024 over geolocation and record-keeping (C$10,000 of it later withdrawn), public reviews on Trustpilot sit at a harsh 1.6 out of 5, and the parent company spent much of 2025 working through a cease trade order and a C$43.4 million recapitalization.
